Our Nesting Surdos can be packed inside each other, making them easy to carry and lightweight. Nesting surdos are popular among children, music teachers and facilitators.

Repinique |

Comes with a nylon head, metal tuning rods, and a lightwight metal body. Users carry the Repinique with a shoulder strap and can play it with one hand a drum stick. Two drum sticks are however used by Repinique players in Bahia. |

Most samba schools in Rio de Janeiro and in the UK prefer the Caixa because of its superior and clean cutting tones. Our Caixa is very lightweight and is easy to carry. The repetitive and fast rhythm of the surdo is supported by the sound of the Caixa. |
